Volunteer Recognition Week April 21 - 28 2002

Volunteers are critical to the success of every program. Through their unbounded generosity volunteers support staff in their efforts to move families from crisis situations to stable lives.

There are more than 300 volunteers giving their time, talents and treasure to Neighbor to Neighbor. They work in the food shelves, at the reception desks, serve on the board of directors, and are the staff for special programs such as The Holiday Program, The Caring Tree and Gifts For Teens.

Since 1997, Neighbor to Neighbor has recorded the hours of volunteers who work in our programs. The following is a list of star volunteers who have donated three hundred plus hours to help Neighbor to Neighbor reach out and support those in need in our community

The Volunteer Resource Centers report on volunteerism states that 69% of adults volunteer an average of 3.6 hours per week.
